Kevin Spacey

Kevin Spacey – an American theatre and film actor, as well as a well-known Hollywood film director and producer. He is a two-time "Oscar" winner (1995 – for Best Supporting Actor in the film "The Usual Suspects", 1999 – for Best Actor in the film "American Beauty").

The actor is also well known as the protagonist of the famous series "House of Cards" in the role of Frank Underwood. He has appeared in more than 60 films.

Kevin Spacey has never been married and carefully concealed his personal life, which gave rise to rumours about his homosexuality. Also, in January 2006, the British tabloid The Daily Mirror described Spacey as a well-known homosexual. It was later reported that this was a mistake.

However, on October 29, 2017, Spacey himself announced his homosexuality for the first time, admitting that he had had relationships with both women and men. This statement angered many activists in the US, as, in their opinion, Spacey was thereby trying to divert attention from the sexual harassment.

One of the first men to accuse Kevin Spacey was actor Anthony Rapp, who stated that the Oscar-winning actor had made advances on him when he was 14 years old.
Four more men also gave testimony about sexual harassment and exhibitionism: Tony Montana, Roberto Cavazos, UK bartender Daniel Beal and a man who wished to remain anonymous.

In this regard, the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences also refused to present actor Kevin Spacey with the prestigious "Emmy" award for his contribution to the television industry, the ceremony for which is scheduled for November 20.

Netflix also announced that the sixth season of the series "House of Cards", filming of which began recently, will be the last. This happened after the sex scandal surrounding its main star Kevin Spacey.
